Long shaft pumps are mainly used for transporting clean water, wastewater containing certain solid particles (such as iron filings, sand, coal powder, etc.), corrosive industrial wastewater, and seawater; the temperature of the transported liquid does not exceed 80°C. They are widely used in primary water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, the metallurgy and steel industry (especially in industries that transport oxidized iron scale in rotary water pools), power plants, mines, municipal engineering, and agricultural irrigation projects. Long shaft pumps are primarily used in power plants and chemical plants, and are sometimes used in deep wells. They are also used in municipal, papermaking, drainage, and other enterprises.

The long shaft pump is a type of centrifugal pump. From the perspective of centrifugal pumps, it is an improvement on the performance of submersible pumps. This pump can be used to transport rainwater, scale, sewage, and corrosive industrial wastewater, seawater, and other liquids. It is widely applied in water supply companies, sewage treatment plants, steel mills, mines, and other industrial enterprises, as well as in municipal water supply and drainage, agricultural irrigation, and flood control projects.

The motor of the long shaft pump is coaxially connected to the pump and consists of the pump body, pump head, suction circuit, and control device. The pump body contains a shielded motor and a centrifugal pump. The motor is coaxially connected to the centrifugal pump and is formed into an inseparable whole by the suction cover on the outside. The main advantages of the design are: the bearings of the pump are only a few hundred millimeters long without a long shaft; there will be no swing issues; it runs smoothly with very little noise and almost no wear.
The working principle of the long shaft pump: Long shaft deep well pumps are mostly vertical single-suction multi-stage centrifugal pumps. Its impeller is installed below the moving water level in the well. Water flows through the flow channel between the guide shell and the impeller and rises to the ground through the water pipe. When the lift is higher, a multi-stage centrifugal pump with multiple impellers in series can be used.
