Slurry pump manufacturers: How to ensure the efficient operation of slurry pumps

The main purpose of a slurry pump is to transport slurry, and the transportation efficiency depends on the operating performance of the slurry pump. If the slurry pump operates well, the transportation efficiency is high; otherwise, the transportation efficiency is mediocre.

The main purpose of a slurry pump is to transport slurry, and the transportation efficiency depends on the operational performance of the slurry pump. A well-functioning slurry pump has high transportation efficiency; otherwise, the efficiency will be mediocre.

How to improve the operational efficiency of a slurry pump? Below, Shijiazhuang slurry pump technology tells us the secret to efficient operation of slurry pumps: To operate efficiently, the gap between the slurry pump impeller and the front guard plate should be adjusted in a timely manner. The gap between the rubber-lined pump impeller and the front guard plate should be between 0.5-1mm, and the gap between the rubber-lined pump impeller and both front and rear guard plates should be equal.

When adjusting the gap of the slurry pump impeller, first stop the pump, loosen the bolts that tighten the bearing assembly, and tighten the nut on the adjustment bolt to move the bearing assembly forward. At the same time, rotate the shaft in the direction of pump rotation by hand until the slurry pump impeller rubs against the front guard plate. For metal-lined pumps, loosen the nut that was just tightened half a turn. Then tighten the front nut on the adjustment bolt to move the bearing assembly backward. At this point, the gap between the impeller and front guard plate is 0.5-1mm. For rubber-lined pumps, tighten the nut on the adjustment bolt to move the slurry pump bearing assembly forward first. Move forward until the impeller contacts the front sleeve; when moving backward, ensure that the impeller contacts the rear sleeve, and measure the total movement distance of the bearing assembly of the slurry pump. This distance is generally taken as the distance between the impeller and both sleeves. For gaps, adjust the position of the bearing assembly with adjustment bolts to ensure that the gap value between the impeller and both sleeves is correct.

Before restarting after adjustment, recheck whether the slurry pump impeller rotates normally, whether the bolts for tightening and adjusting the bearing assembly are tightened, and then start the slurry pump again. The efficient operation of a slurry pump can effectively improve transportation efficiency and increase output. Starting from details can lead to significant gains.
