2. Structural Description
DYIR Do It Yourself The pump series is designed in accordance with international standards. IS 02858 Designed according to the specified performance and dimensions, the main
It consists of the pump casing (1), pump cover (2), impeller (3), shaft (4), sealing ring (5), bushing (6), and suspension.
It is composed of bearing components (12) and others (Figure 1).
DYIR Do It Yourself In this type of pump, the pump casing and pump cover are split along the back side of the impeller—commonly referred to as the “rear”…
Open-door structural design. Its advantages include convenient maintenance, as the pump casing, suction piping, discharge piping, and electrical components remain stationary during servicing. The motive is that the rotor assembly can be removed for maintenance.
The pump casing (i.e., the pump body and pump cover) forms the pump’s working chamber, while the impeller, shaft, and shaft sleeve constitute the pump’s rotor. Components. The suspension bearing assembly supports the pump’s rotor assembly, while the rolling bearings withstand the pump’s radial forces and a portion of the shaft load. Directional force.
To balance the axial thrust of the pump, most pumps are equipped with impellers on both the front and rear sides. All are equipped with sealing rings, and behind the impeller The cover plate is equipped with balance holes. However, some pumps do not have sufficient axial thrust... Large; the impeller backside is not equipped with a sealing ring or balance holes.

The pump’s axial seal consists of the packing gland (9), packing rings (10), and packing material (11), among other components, to Prevent air ingress or significant water leakage. If the pump impeller is equipped with balance holes, the cavity for the soft packing shall be connected to Impeller suction inlet Similarly, if the liquid at the impeller inlet is in a vacuum state, air can easily enter along the surface of the shaft sleeve; therefore, in the packing The stuffing chamber is fitted with packing rings, which are supplied through a small hole in the pump cover, Pressurized water from the pump chamber is routed to the packing ring for sealing. If the pump impeller is not equipped with a balance hole, no air leakage will occur because the back-side liquid pressure on the impeller exceeds atmospheric pressure. Therefore, packing rings may be omitted.
To prevent shaft wear, a shaft sleeve is installed at the location where the shaft passes through the stuffing box for protection, and between the shaft and the sleeve there is O Use a sealing ring to prevent air or water from entering along the mating surfaces.
The pump is driven via an elastic coupling connected to the electric motor. The pump’s direction of rotation, viewed from the motor… From the machine end, rotation is clockwise.
The pump dimensions are shown in Figure 3 and Table 2. Flanged connections for the pump’s suction and discharge ports. Dimensions are shown in Figure 5 and Table 4.
3. Assembly and Disassembly
Before assembly, the pump shall first be inspected for any defects that might affect assembly, and then thoroughly cleaned before proceeding. Assembly.
3.1, Prior to assembly, the connecting bolts, threaded plugs, and other fasteners at each location shall be individually tightened onto their respective components.
3.2 , can be pre- “O” O-rings, paper gaskets, felt pads, and the like are placed on their respective parts;
3.3, The sealing ring, packing, packing rings, and packing gland can be installed in sequence in advance. Into the pump cover;
3.4, Mount the rolling bearing onto the shaft, then install it into the suspension, and finally close the press cover to firmly compress the rolling bearing.
And fit a water seal onto the shaft.
3.5, Fit the shaft assembly onto the shaft, then mount the pump cover onto the suspension, followed by the impeller, lock washer, and blade. Install and tighten the lock nuts and other components, then finally install the aforementioned assembly into the pump housing. and tighten the pump body and pump The connecting bolts on the cover.
During the aforementioned assembly process, Some small parts, such as flat keys and oil seals, Within the water seal ring and bushing O Form seal Circles and other elements are容易 to be overlooked or arranged in the wrong order, so special attention should be paid.
The pump disassembly sequence can generally be reversed from the assembly sequence.
4. Peace to install
The quality of pump installation has a significant impact on pump operation and service life; therefore, installation and alignment must be carried out with meticulous care. The pump’s external mounting dimensions are classified as B Type and F type Two kind , B Type is standard. Standard installation dimensions, F Type to meet For non-standard installation dimensions required by the user, please refer to Figure 4 and Table 3.
1. Installation and Calibration
(1) Remove grease and dirt from the base, then place the base on the foundation. Above;
(2) Use a level to check the horizontal alignment of the base; shimming with wedges is permitted. Flat;
(3) Grout the base and anchor bolt holes with cement;
(4) After the cement has fully set, inspect the base and anchor bolt holes for looseness; if they are properly aligned, tighten the anchor bolts. Bolt, recheck the levelness;
(5) Clean the supporting surfaces of the base, as well as the mounting surfaces of the pump feet and motor feet, and then install the pump and motor onto the base. On the seat ;
(6) A certain clearance shall be maintained between the couplings, and the alignment of the pump and motor shaft centerlines shall be checked; it is possible to Use thin shims or washers to adjust and ensure concentricity.
The difference between the upper and lower, as well as the left and right, outer diameters of the coupling shall not exceed 0.1. mm 。
The difference between the maximum and minimum end-face gaps of the two couplings over one complete circumference shall not exceed 0. 3 mm .。
2. Installation Instructions
(1) The pump installation height, pipeline length, diameter, and flow velocity shall comply with the calculations, with the aim of minimizing unnecessary Losses may be calculated with reference to Table 5;
(2) For long-distance conveyance, a larger-diameter pipeline should be selected, and the pipeline must be supported by its own supports; the weight of the pipeline itself must not be borne by other structures. On the pump, avoid damaging it;
(3) If a check valve is installed in the discharge piping, it shall be located between the gate valve and the pump discharge line.
5. Startup, Shutdown, and Operation
5.1. Start move
(1) Before connecting the pump to the motor, verify that the motor’s direction of rotation is correct, and that the pump… Whether the steering is flexible;
(2) Close the gate valve on the discharge pipeline;
(3) Fill the pump with water, or use a vacuum priming device to draw water into the pump.
(4) Connect the power supply. Once the pump has reached its normal speed, gradually open the gate valve on the discharge pipeline and adjust… to the required operating conditions. When the gate valve on the discharge pipeline is closed, Below, the continuous operating time of the pump It must not exceed 3 minutes.
5.2, Stop
(1) Gradually close the gate valve on the discharge pipeline and disconnect the power supply;
(2) If the ambient temperature falls below 0°C, the water in the pump should be drained to prevent freezing and cracking.
(3) If the pump is to be left idle for an extended period, it should be disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, and properly packaged. Storage.
5.3, Operation
(1) During driving and operation, it is essential to closely monitor instrument readings, bearing temperature, packing leakage, and Verify that the temperature rise, pump vibration, and any abnormal noises are within normal limits; if any abnormalities are detected, address them immediately.
(2) The maximum bearing temperature shall not exceed 80°C, and at the same time the bearing temperature shall not Must be 40°C higher than the ambient temperature;
(3) If the packing is normal, any leakage should be small and uniform;
(4) The bearing oil level shall be maintained at the normal position and must not exceed. If the level is too high or too low, replenish the lubricant promptly when it is too low. oil ;
(5) If the clearance between the sealing ring and the impeller mating surface is excessively worn, The sealing ring should be replaced with a new one.
